Why did you not just stick to the plan? You had no faith in Me.

Once there was a sweeper in a well known temple and he was very sincere and devoted. Every time he saw thousands of devotees coming to take darshan of the Lord, he thought that the Lord is standing all the time and giving darshan and He must be feeling very tired. So one day very innocently he asked the Lord whether he can take the place of the Lord for a day so that the Lord can have some relief and rest.

The Deity of Temple replied, "I do not mind taking a break. I will transform you like Myself, but you must do one thing, you must just stand here like Me, smile at everyone and just give benedictions. Do not interfere with anything and do not say anything. Remember you are the deity and you just have faith that I have a master plan for everything.”

The sweeper agreed to this.

The next day the sweeper took the position of the deity and a rich man came and prayed to the Lord.

He offered a nice donation and prayed that his business should be prosperous. While going, the rich man inadvertently left his wallet full of money right there.

Now the sweeper in the form of deity could not call him and so he decided to control himself and keep quiet.

Just then a poor man came and he put one coin in the Hundi (offer box) and said that it was all he could afford and he prayed to the Lord that he should continue to be engaged in the Lord's service. He also said that his family was in dire need of some basic needs but he left it to the good hands of the Lord to give some solution. When he opened his eyes, he saw the wallet left by the rich man. The poor man thanked the Lord for His kindness and took the wallet very innocently.

The sweeper in the form of the Deity could not say anything and he had to just keep smiling.

At that point a sailor walked in. He prayed for his safe journey as he was going on a long trip.

Just then the rich man came with the police and said that somebody has stolen his wallet and seeing the sailor there, he asked the police to arrest him thinking that he might have taken it.

Now the sweeper in the form of Deity wanted to say that the sailor is not the thief but he could not say so and he became greatly frustrated.

The sailor looked at the Lord and asked why he, an innocent person, is being punished?!

The rich man looked at the Lord and thanked Him for finding the thief. The sweeper in the deity form could no more tolerate and he thought that even if the real Lord had been here, he would have definitely interfered and hence he started speaking and said that the sailor is not the thief but it was the poor man who took away the wallet. The rich man was very thankful as also the sailor.

In the night, the real Lord came and He asked the sweeper how the day was. The sweeper said, "I thought it would be easy, but now I know that Your days are not easy, but I did one good thing." Then he explained the whole episode to the Lord.

The Lord became very upset on hearing this whereas the sweeper thought the Lord would appreciate him for the good deed done.

The Lord asked, "Why did you not just stick to the plan? You had no faith in Me. Do you think that I do not understand the hearts of all those who come here?

All the donation which the rich man gave was all stolen money and it is only a fraction of what he really has and he wants Me to reciprocate unlimitedly! On the contrary, the single coin offered by the poor man was the last coin he was having and he gave it to Me out of faith. The sailor might not have done anything wrong, but if the sailor were to go in the ship that night he was about to die because of bad weather and instead if he is arrested he would be in jail and he would have been saved from a greater calamity.

(Whatever may be your plans, Only His plans work in the end)

The wallet should go to the poor man because he will use it in My service. I was going to reduce the rich man's karma also by doing this and save the sailor also. But you cancelled everything because you thought you know My plan and you made your own plans!"

Effort is important but....!!!

There is little story...that teaches a lot...

A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another.However, none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young. He carried a large bag of tools with him and When he arrived, he immediately went to work.He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man,Hoping he would know what to do.After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer.He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life.He carefully put his hammer away.The engine fixed, a week later, the owners receivedA bill from the old man for ten thousand dollar"What?" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"Therefore, they wrote the old man a note saying,"Please send us an itemized bill."

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort In your life makes all the difference.

Kill all negative thoughts and give space to positive thoughts in your mind

We all know that developing a positive mindset is the toughest thing one can do. And once it is inbuilt in our mind that it stays for a long time. According to a survey it is found that in a day around 60,000 thoughts comes in human mind and in that approx 59,990 thoughts are the same as the previous day.

And these thoughts are the combination of both negative and positive thoughts, where as most of the people do carry negative thoughts more than the positive one. This is the basic thing which we all have to learn from our life. That we should replace one bad thought with a positive thought, initially it is very difficult to have a control on this but daily practice it can help us a lot to live our life in a different way.


In time, all bad emotions will vanish like anger, resentment, depression, doubt and fear. We will also gain confidence and will learn more things in our life. This is not an overnight process and will take time. So be patient with this process. Time is the biggest helper that you can have on our side when you institute a change in your life.

HELP OTHERS.....

Helping others is one of the most important aspect in life today. There are many different ways, and different forms of helping people. Helping others could make another person feel better either inside, or about them self. It could be from helping a senior citizen cross the street, to saving someones life. It totally depends on us that what type of help we want to do for the people who are in need of help. Unfortunately, the truth is that today we are so much busy in other works in our own life that we don't have time even to think about others.

Most of people today are in such a rush to go home from work, pick up kids from day care, keep the household chores up and fall into bed exhausted at night. There doesn't seem to be much time to help others.

But we can easily help others, now the basic question arises How??? The answer is simple that we should devote some time from our schedule for others and that can be on daily, weekly or monthly also again completely depends on us.

If you have not helped anyone till now, then i would suggest you to take out some time of your life for others and try to give them support, make them feel special with your help and I promise that you will have a lifetime experience. Develop the habit of helping others. At last I want to share a poem with you all.

You gave on the way a pleasant smile,
And thought no more about it.
It cheered a life that had been dark the while,
Which might have been wrecked without it.
And so for that smile that was given there,
You'll have a reward sometime-somewhere.

Are you running away from your responsibilities????

During our daily lives or in the midst of extraordinary circumstances, we often come upon worthy causes to donate to. However, because of one of any number of reasons we fail to make the donation. When you give even a little bit to an organization that helps others, you are making a positive impact. Just as multiple rain drops can cause a flash flood, your few rupees combined with the few rupees that thousands and millions also donate can change lives. So, why do good people hold back from donating when they really want to? Here are the top 5 excuses people use to NOT donate to charity:

1. I don’t have the money to donate:

It is true that there are a great many people that cannot afford to donate money. They may in fact need the assistance of some of the great charities that are out there. However, for the rest of us, we can more often than not find the Rs. 250/- or more to donate to a great charity.
There are creative ways to find money to make charitable contributions. Today, skip one gourmet coffee trip. This week, cut out one fast food night and eat at home. Rather than buying snacks at lunch time, save that money and put it to a different use. Cash in your box or bottle of change. Bring lunch to work instead of buying lunch for a day. In short, if you believe in a cause, you can find a way to donate to that cause.


2. I don’t want my money to go towards overhead:

We all want to see our monetary help go directly to the people that require the assistance. That assistance has to someone reached the people it is intended to help though. Transportation, packaging, and security are just some of the areas that charities must spend money to ensure their aid reaches the people it must help. Unfortunately, we still live in a system where those things must be paid for.
In the end, it’s more important to donate to a charity that you believe in, and that has the capability of delivering aid to the intended recipients. You should take the time to understand the companies you consider donating to so you have the peace of mind that you are making a difference. Don’t rule out donating altogether because of rumors, unsubstantiated statements or a few proven bad apples.


3. I believe all charities are fraudulent:

There have been issues with some companies in the past. Also, there are people that purposely set up charities with the intention of using donations received for their own benefit. However, there are many more big and small charities that are directly helping the people they are intending to assist. When you choose not to donate because of the transgressions of the few, you actually hurt the people you were motivated to assist.
Don’t allow a few bad people and organizations stop you from helping the organizations that really do help people. You can be a part of the solution. Do your research, get comfortable with the company you want to donate with, and then follow through.


4. My money won’t help:
How can a donation of Rs.50/- help anyone? That Rs.50/- could be enough to purchase vital medication, food, water, and other supplies that can make a difference in someone’s life. 5. My money is no longer needed:

When a crisis abates, and the news cameras go home, people often think that their donations are no longer needed. When issues that were once major seem to be getting better, it may appear that the work of the charity is complete. Often times, nothing can be further than the truth.
In many cases, it’s when the major attention is off of the crisis that the real work begins. When a charity forms, there is often much more work to be done than any single charity can fulfill. Don’t decide not to donate because you believe the need has passed. Do your homework and determine for yourself if there is more work to be done. Rather than assume that lack of media attention means all is well, check into for you. You will often be surprised at the degree of misery and human plight the world often ignores.


Please donate what you can to the causes that touch your heart the most. You feel good when you are giving, because you know that you are helping others to help themselves.

When we don't have any spare cash with ourself, it seems impossible to help those who are in even greater need. But there are now several ways to donate without it costing us anything. Strategic Meet Q3FY11 - Future plans for Shanti Foundation

We are glad to inform you that Q3FY11 Strategic meet of HBJ Capital Services Private Ltd held successfully on 2nd and 3rd October'10. Members from different offices located at various cities attended this meeting.


Main aim to conduct this meeting was to look back at the performance of all the business units and also to share and implement new ideas for future growth of the company. Although company is doing well and to continue like this in future various measures were discussed with all the members of HBJ Capital Private Limited.


The main focus in meeting was on Shanti foundation, discussing what activities is happening at SF and what else should be included. After a long discussion, members decided to support or help more people by increasing the number of visits to NGO. And the help or support we will be doing will follow the previous process i.e. on monthly basis.

MOMENTS THAT WE CANNOT FORGET IN OUR ENTIRE LIFE

We visited Jyothigamya Blind Forum on 10th September’10. Whole HBJ team has already shared their experience. Now I would like to tell how we all enjoyed there including JBF members. In JBF around 20-24 blind students are staying. They all are studying some in college and other in school. JBF members arrange the study material for them and after looking them studying and writing we all were AMAZED. And the most surprising thing was that daily they manage on their own to go to their school and college. There are so many things to learn from them. They all have very strong willpower and all are very intelligent, have high goals in their life.

The students of JBF also performed various activities, as I have already mentioned that they all are very talented this doesn’t mean that only in studies they are excellent in other fields also. Some of them have very nice voice and sang beautiful songs. One solo song and one group song was performed by the students. The songs were so soothing and we all got emotional that time.
